A GE Profile refrigerator is built to a higher standard, and the filter inside it should match. The GE RPWFE Refrigerator Water Filter is designed for compatible GE Profile and select higher-end models that require chip-enabled authentication, reducing chlorine taste, lead, and a wider range of contaminants than a standard filter.
A Higher Level of Certified Filtration
NSF 42, 53, and 401 certification means the RPWFE is tested against a broader list of contaminants than filters carrying only the standard NSF 42 and 53 ratings. It reduces lead and heavy metals, chlorine taste and odor, cysts and sediment, VOCs, select emerging compounds under NSF 401, rust and particulates, and asbestos fibers.
A Chip That Keeps Your Fridge Informed
The built-in RFID chip communicates directly with your refrigerator's filtration system, confirming correct installation and tracking service life accurately. That means fewer guessing games about how much filter life is left.
Steady Performance, Start to Finish
An activated carbon block inside the filter keeps contaminant reduction consistent from the first glass through the full 300 gallon service life, rather than tapering off partway through its cycle.
Fresher Water for Both Dispenser and Ice
On most compatible GE Profile and higher-end models, a single RPWFE filter serves both the water dispenser and the ice maker, so one replacement covers everything your fridge sends to your glass and your freezer tray.
Easy to Install, No Tools Required
The twist-in design takes under a minute. The old filter twists counterclockwise to release, and the new one twists clockwise until it locks into place, with the RFID chip communicating automatically with your refrigerator once it's seated.
