Kenmore 9084, 46-9084 Refrigerator Water Filter Replacement

Coconut shell carbon has a way of catching what standard filtration misses. The Kenmore 9084, 46-9084 Refrigerator Water Filter Replacement is built for compatible Kenmore side-by-side and bottom-freezer models, reducing lead, VOCs, and chlorine taste and odor before water reaches your dispenser.

Three Levels of Certified Protection

NSF 42, 53, and 401 certification means the 9084 covers aesthetic quality, health-related contaminants, and emerging compounds, giving it a wider reach than filters built for taste and odor alone.

Coconut Shell Carbon for Steady Filtration

Coconut shell carbon block media keeps VOC and heavy metal reduction consistent across the full 200 gallon service life, rather than tapering off as the filter ages.

An Updated Fit for Older Kenmore Models

The 9084 is the current replacement for the older 9005 and 9006 filter codes, so households still running one of those older codes have a direct, confirmed upgrade path.

A Housing Built for This Design

The open-tray-and-twist-out installation is specific to the 9084 housing, distinct from the push-button and eject-and-slide styles used on other Kenmore filters.

A Simple Flush for Best Results

Running 2 to 3 gallons through the dispenser after installation clears carbon fines and air pockets, so the filter performs at its best from the very first glass.
