Kenmore 9890, 46-9890 Refrigerator Water Filter

Clean water starts with a filter that keeps up with real household use. The Kenmore 9890, 46-9890 Refrigerator Water Filter is built for compatible Kenmore side-by-side models, cutting chlorine taste and odor out of your water before it reaches your dispenser.

The Longest Lasting Filter in the Lineup

At a 500 gallon capacity, the 9890 outlasts every other filter in the Kenmore collection, covering roughly a full year of typical household use before it needs replacing. That's twice the coverage of most standard refrigerator filters on a single cartridge.

Steady Performance, Start to Finish

NSF 42 certification confirms the filter reduces chlorine taste and odor along with turbidity down to 0.5 microns, so performance holds up consistently from the first glass through the full 500 gallon life.

A Different Mount, A Simpler Swap

Unlike interior push-in or eject-style Kenmore filters, the 9890 mounts in the base grille at the bottom front of the refrigerator. A quarter turn releases the old cartridge, and the new one locks in the same way, no tools and no reaching into the compartment required.

Works Across Kenmore and Select LG Models

The 9890 is cross-compatible with LG refrigerators using the LT500P filter, so it's a fit for more than just Kenmore units. It also replaces LT500PC and several other part numbers, covering a wide range of side-by-side models under one confirmed filter code.
